Explore the World of Captivating Stories and Unforgettable Characters
Meet The Authors
Missy and her husband have six children, two English mastiffs and two cats. She has been writing since she could hold a crayon, her first taste of publishing success was in 4th grade. Missy has continued writing short stories though junior high and then entered her period of angsty poetry in high school. Having explored different avenues of writing, she has discovered her true love lies in happily-ever-after novel-length storytelling.

Friends come, and friends go. That’s just how life is when you’re twelve. As seventh graders, neither Aimee nor Missy ever imagined that the nice girl from French class and choir would become a lifelong friend, let alone that they would write a trilogy together.

Passing notes after* class, editing each other’s junior high newsletters about their favorite sitcoms, and writing an article for their high school yearbook turned into encouraging each other to write stories and poems.
The plethora of sleepovers they used to enjoy turned into phone calls and texts as they graduated high school, married their soulmates, had children, and moved far away from each other, but they never lost their connection. Loyal friends are a treasured gem, and they both recognized they’d been blessed to be part of each other’s lives.

Twenty-six years after they first met, Aimee and Missy began a new journey together, trading sentences across nearly 200 miles until Divided, the first book in the Alterrian Gifts trilogy was born.

Everyone has a gift, and they agree that one of the greatest gifts they have received is the gift of Friendship.

*After class—never during, of course! How else would they have been able to pay attention to the English teacher?
